Sarah Patterson French (1972 - 2022) was a founding partner of Essex Gate Ventures and the wife of Reid French.
Operating Experience
Prior to having children, Sarah was a children's textbook editor for Harcourt Brace in Orlando with an educational focus on social studies and history. Prior to Harcourt Brace, she served as the Publisher of The Harbus News at Harvard Business School in Boston. Early in her career, she taught in the Lower School at The Lovett School in Atlanta.
Board Experience
Sarah served on the Board of Visitors to Davidson College from 2019 until 2022.
Volunteer Experience
Sarah was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, serving as a member of both the session and the 2021-2022 Pastor Nominating Committee. She also sang for twenty years in Trinity’s highly regarded chancel choir.
Educational Background
Sarah graduated from Davidson College in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in English.
