Summary
The French Family Foundation is the primary charitable vehicle for Reid French. The Foundation has two areas of focus:
- Improving access to quality education
- Leukemia research
The Foundation provides grants to organizations that seek innovative solutions to these social & medical problems in the United States.
Our Mission
The French Family Foundation seeks to enhance children’s lives by providing access to quality education, breaking the cycle of poverty, and improving technical & financial literacy.
- A quality education is essential to leading a productive & successful life in today’s global economy. Poor educational skills lead to poor financial and societal outcomes.
- In order for capitalism to flourish in a democracy, all citizens must have access to upward financial mobility through hard work. Without mobility based on merit, democracies will ultimately constrain the productive capacity of capitalism.
- In the 21st Century workplace, technical skills are a requirement for success. Unfortunately, they are also often overlooked by American educational institutions. In addition, many young people lack the core financial skills necessary to manage their lives effectively.
The French Family Foundation also seeks to support medical research to discover a cure for patients stricken with Myelodysplastic Syndrome or Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with a TP53 mutation.
- MDS/AML with a TP53 mutation remains one of the most difficult to treat blood cancers despite many decades of research to find durable therapeutics.
- Sarah French passed away from AML with a TP53 mutation at the age of 50 in 2022.

Each year, the French Family Foundation seeks to make grants to organizations that seek innovative solutions that match the mission of the Foundation.
